王雪凌在听觉艺术(音乐)上早已获得好成绩。近年来更通过视觉艺术来表现她对大自然的感受和爱。不论在摄影和绘画都看到她所具有非凡的天份及触角。画面亮丽的色彩，如音符般的轻重、高低、疏密,笔触错落有致，加上独特的肌理技术，丰富了画作的表现力。其用绘画来描写音乐的小夜曲、奏鸣曲、交响乐、协奏曲、圆舞曲等应可大饱“眼福”。
Shirley Wong has made achievements in music and in recent years she has dedicated to visual art to express her perception and affection for nature. Her brilliant talent and keen sense of art would never be hard to discover in her photography and paintings. The expressiveness of her paintings is enforced by the melodious use of bright colors, rhythmical application of brush strokes and the unique technique of texture. She’s been composing serenades,、sonatas、symphonies 、waltz with her paintings, which provide the audience an “eyeful” of pleasure.

許曉鵬1986年畢業于東北師範大學美術係油畫專業，2001年結業于首都師範大學油畫碩士研究生班。現為深圳寳安畫院專業畫家，深圳美術家協會理事，寳安區美術家協會常务副主席。作品多次參加国内外重要展覽並有部分作品獲獎。曾在中國美術館、上海美術館、深圳美术馆，香港艺术展覽中心，美國旧金山，英国伯明翰，俄罗斯乌苏里斯科，台湾高雄等地舉辦畫展。其作品被收入当代中国美术全书，部分作品被政府、美術館、美术学院，畫廊及國内外艺术机构或藏家收藏。 Graduated from Fine Arts Department, Northeast Normal University, majored in oil painting in 1986. Completed the oil painting course for master degree graduated in Beijing Normal University. Currently work as professional painter for Shenzhen Bao An Fine Arts Institute, director of Shenzhen Artists Association, administrative vice chairman of Bao An District Artists Association. His works have been shown in many important exhibitions domestic and abroad, some works have won the prizes. His art exhibitions have been held in many places, such as China Art Museum , Shanghai Art Museum. Shenzhen Art Museum, Hong Kong Art Exhibition Center, San Francisco, USA, Birmingham, England, Ussuriisk, Russia, and Gaoxiong, Taiwan. Some of his works are included in The Contemporary Chinese Fine Arts Cyclopedia, some are collected by government, art museums, art academies, galleries , art institutes and collectors both in China and foreign countries.

I call this series of works by Patricia Bernal “Picture of Soul”, it’s not only because most abstract paintings are the depiction of the artist’s psychological activities and emotional expression, but, as the artist herself tells me that this series of works are done after her meditation. In this sense, it’s more like the cardiogram which monitors the heartbeat of the artist, whose sentiments such as joy, thrill or sadness are shown unreservedly on the canvas. It needs great courage for her to do such an experiment.

The sensitivity and the spiritual purity are the two predispositions which play the important roles in art making. Without either of them, the art work would be rather lack of profound thinking or clearness in the knowledge of reality. Patricia naturally combines both in her artistic creation. Her sensitivity with colors, her love for life and her incessant pursuit of truth are fully embodied in her works. Blue and orange are the two colors she uses almost in every work of this series: blue suggests a melancholic state of swaying between freedom and bondage; while orange shows more passion and love. As Patricia says, after the meditation, she feels empty, and somehow lost in China where she has had so much experience with the river and the local life in Guangzhou. Her soul receives something, and misses something at the same time. Besides, the colors are in the opposite situation, orange is blue’s complementary color, she hopes the colors could save her from the middle of nowhere, and help her find the balance of life and peace in mind.

Don’t know why there is an image which flashes in my mind when I look at patricia’s work: a small boat floats on the river with moonlight shed on its surface, two paddles row on the water, with ripples left behind……it reveals such a beautiful picture of soul that each one of us living in a hectic modern life could search his or her inner world like a little boat rowing in the moon river, finally lays to off a little island, and let their souls get some rest…
